Both long and short hikes take you to nearby villages and into the stunning Tuoi Valley, following the well-tended mountain paths. Experience showshoe excursions through the pristine countryside in knee-deep powder snow. Benno Meisser leads weekly snowshoe tours during winter, which are open to all levels of experience. The cross-country ski trail in the valley stretches all the way to St Moritz (70 km). The two ski resorts of Klosters and Scuol are easy to get to; only 20 minutes by train from Guarda.

An incredible experience; dinner by the crackling fire, an evening stroll with snow crunching underfoot and the stars shining clearer than anywhere else in the world: this is winter in Guarda.
